Submitting a complaint is free of charge, but your complaint must comply with a number of conditions:
- it must be submitted in writing (using the complaints form on this website, by letter or by fax);
- the client and lawyer must first have tried to reach a solution themselves;
- the problem may not have been brought before the court.
You may submit your complaint in Dutch, French or German. In exceptional cases, the ombudsman may also accept a complaint in a different language. This will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
